Review Of Jaydiohead (Jay-Z Vs Radiohead)
By Matt Dawson

Ever since the beginning of this decade we have seen in the music industry the revival of some genres such as thrash metal whilst also seeing the creation of new genres such as the Klaxons inspired ?Nu-Rave? but there is a number that have remained surprisingly consistent yet unless you knew exactly where to look it would remain a mystery.

Dance music has always used sampling to create a beat for people to dance to in clubs around the world ever since the days of Coldcut and M/A/R/R/S but the year 2000 brought on the idea of mixing an acapella of one song with the instrumental of another in what has been dubbed as a ?mashup? and has created forums such as Get Your Bootleg On amongst others.

This brings us to the latest find of two artists who have recently started a revolution in the music industry by starting the ?mashup? trend and showing record labels how to bring out an album and still earn sales in Jay-Z and Radiohead.

Unlike the critically acclaimed The Grey Album which mixed Jay-Z and the Beatles this is produced by a unknown producer under the name of Minty Fresh Beats, also unlike Dangermouse?s effort the mixture is less of a cut and paste giving it more of a flow letting the samples do the work and could be mistaken for an actual session between Thom and Jay (with a guest appearance by Beyonce on the first track ?Wrong Prayer).

This is a must even if you are not a fan of dance culture to see a form of creativity at it's inevitable peak, the only question is due to the legalities is how long will it be available so be quick from www.jaydiohead.com.
